Maybe I should be happy being on top of the wrestling world but the simple fact is I'm not.In fact, I'm Mod as Hell.
When I signed my "John Modcock" to an IBW contract to bring in the "Best of the best" to compete here in Detroit, I told the promoters that there is one thing I will not sway from, that is my mantra of "Cheaters Never Win"
I learned years ago as a young lad that sportsmanship is the only way to honor the grand tradition of the Sport of Kings .
The Detroit fans seem to miss this as they root for the cheaters and accuse myself and t.h.e. Mod-Family of a number of infractions and deviations from the rule book.
I've been called" Lady Ga-Ga", "Austin Powers', heckled, ridiculed and even worse accused of hitting opponents with my "Man Purse", distracting the officials and even getting physically involved in the matches.
To top that off, a number of t.h.e.Mod-family's opponents have seen fit to dare lay hands on me. I've been tossed over ring ropes, booted in the head and gut, slapped and hit with pieces of lumber.
All this chicanery has done is to prove what I say time and time again-"Cheaters NEVER win". T.h.e Mod-family (The Wagon Brothers) now holds the IBW Tag Team Titles, Mitch Ryder holds the Great Lakes Championship and had it not been for a total travesty, "Clean" Tex Monroe would still hold the IBW World's Title. The photos have shown that ex-con, ex champion Alcatraz choked Tex with a chain, hit me with a club and broke every rule in an effort to regain his title. When we fought fire with fire, the referee should have disqualified both parties and we would have retained the title.
BUT NO!! Thanks to the meddling of a certain ringside female announcer it was put to the hypocrite fans as to whether the title should be held up pending a rematch.... What do the fans know ? Who cares what they say? Obviously, the IBW does.
Now, on November 27th, Tex is being forced into the most dangerous type of match in wrestling -A No Disqualification Match. That means there are no rules and anything goes.That makes it a holiday for cheaters, like Alcatraz.
"Clean" Tex Monroe and I are wary but we are also looking as this as chance to prove once and for all that Cheaters NEVER win" WE will not stoop to the level of Alcatraz. We shall use science, leverage and stregth to make that filthy criminal wish he'd never gotten released from prison.
When the dust settles and the the winner is announced, t.h.e. Mod-family will have restored honor and dignity to the IBW by holding all the gold....Justice will be served.
